Job Overview:
- Responsible for personnel engaged in the Physical Security function for the organization that includes monitoring the systems associated with the flow of personnel and vehicular traffic, personnel/visitor security clearances, management of loss prevention and detection services, and responsible for security inspections.
- Under direct supervision, performs duties by following established procedures and develops answers to problems with partial scope.
- Examines and construes security movements and uses available guides.
- Has a knowledge of security methods and doctrines.
- Has an expansive knowledge of security systems.
- Supports others in intricate security actions to fulfill the organization’s security principles.
- The skills required for this job are typically acquired by the completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Security Coordinators are the site subject matter expert and focal point for all site level security issues. Security Coordinators are required to implement physical security procedures. Conduct formal inquiries into criminal acts, violations of company policy, Code of Business Conduct violations, etc. Provides comprehensive written & oral briefings to senior management. Assist in the development of security education and instructional programs. Coordinate and interface with client and other government agencies to include host nation agencies. Conduct Threat Vulnerability Assessments and Risk Analysis along with recommendations for improvement to senior management. Manage physical security, and security compliance programs. Provide consulting to site management. Has additional duty of monitoring and maintaining electronic databases and archives which includes responsibility for all physical files, reports, and paperwork generated by the Security Department. Enforce badging requirements and ensure workforce is being properly escorted /supervised.
Preferred qualifications and skills requirements:
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years leadership experience within the career field.
- Must possess knowledge of force protection procedures and practices.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience with conducting formal investigations.
- Must have knowledge of interview and investigative techniques and written reports as related to security incidents.
- Must have the ability to give security education and instructional presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as but not limited to Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
- Current Secret Clearance Required
- Must obtain an International Driver’s License prior to deploying
