Beijing, London and New York ranked first among the most important touristic cities in the world after Paris. Paris, the capital of France, was ranked first among the most powerful and important touristic cities in the world in the research carried out by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
French television BFMTV shared the results of the research conducted by WTTC, the leading organization of the travel industry, on the most powerful metropolises in the field of tourism in the world. According to these data, Paris was one of the most powerful and important touristic cities in the world, considering museum tickets, hotel reservations and tourist expenditures as well as incoming tourists.
The expenditures of tourists coming to the city in Paris in 2022 exceeded 35 billion dollars. On the other hand, despite the fact that few new sports facilities have been built before the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris, significant investments have been made in infrastructure or security in the city to meet the incoming tourists. In WTTC’s ranking, Beijing, London and New York ranked first among the most important touristic cities in the world after Paris.
