Using the MQB Evo platform, the new Tiguan comes in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. Offering two plug-in hybrid engine options of 201 horsepower (150 kW) and 268 horsepower (200 kW), the new Tiguan promises a 100 km electric-only range. It also comes with enhanced AC charging and DC charging support, which is offered as standard for the first time.
Turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder, milt hybrid with 48-volt lithium-ion battery support, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine offering 201 horsepower (150 kW) or 262 horsepower (195 kW), and diesel with a 2.0-liter, 148 horsepower (110 kW) or 190 horsepower. horsepower (142 kW) power options are available. The length of the new Tiguan has increased by approximately three centimeters, while height, width and wheelbase remain almost the same as the previous model. The luggage capacity of the new generation increased by 37 liters to 652 liters.
